From blank to beautiful

This page gives you a basic insight into what's required when it comes to your artwork. We offer in-house printing at JOYYA using G.O.T.S certified inks. If you don't speak graphic design or just need some help, don't worry we're here to help!

Acceptable file formats for your print artwork are:

• JPEG (high-resolution 300 dpi)
• Photoshop (text layers need to be rasterized)
• Illustrator (images embedded in file and text/fonts converted to outlines)
• PDF (vector-based)

ARTWORK WE LIKE TO WORK WITH:

1. Vector Art

Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
Portable Document Format (.pdf)
All fonts must be outlined.

As a general rule, the simpler and bolder the design, the better it will print. Small/fine detail should be avoided as it will not print well.

2. TEXT OUTLINED

Please ensure all text and fonts are converted to outlines, It means that the letters are converted to shapes. When a text is outlined, the text or font can not be changed accidentally.

3. PANTONE COLOURS

Select the colour from the PANTONE Color Book and provide us the code number to be sure what you see is what you get!

4. SIZE YOUR DESIGN

Make your design the size it will be when printed. Contact us for specific product templates, they are usually linked to the product summary on our website.

5. SEPARATE LAYERS

Please make sure there is a layer for every single colour.

6. SEND US YOUR ARTWORK

It can be saved as an .ai file or an .eps file

WHY VECTOR FILES?

Vector files are the preferred files as they give the best results. All fonts must be converted to outlines. This hourly rate applies to any changes made to artwork that is not submitted within the required guidelines. All provided artwork files are kept on file for re-order purposes only.

COLOURS AND COLOUR MATCHING

If you want to book an order and haven’t provided a Pantone (PMS) colour for your artwork, We can match the colour as close as possible from what we see on the screen using our Pantone Solid coated and uncoated colour books.  It is important to note that Pantone (PMS) Colours will vary from monitor to swatch book to the mixed ink. As this is something we can’t control we have a tolerance of 5% variance from the Swatch book. The ink must include the Pantone or PMS reference number for the Solid Coated book.

WHAT ABOUT MY ARTWORK FORMAT?

Are there artwork charges? No, there are no extra art work charges if you are able to provide your logo or design in an acceptable format and quality. You can send your artwork in Jpeg, Gif, or any Photoshop and Illustrator formats. Be sure that your file has a 300dpi or higher quality to ensure the best printing. If you would like assistance with designing your bag, we can assist you. ($35/hr).
